“I’m proud to be part of a team of therapists who are dedicated to their patients! My role as a physical therapist assistant is to utilize my skills to help patients meet their goals based on the plan of care their physical therapist develops for them. We work hand in hand to positively affect our patient’s lives and get them back to living their best life. I believe compassion, encouragement, and commitment in rehabilitation are essential to getting patients to move forward with their lives using the tools we teach them to keep their body healthy.”
Marion earned her bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Athletic Training from San Diego State University and became a Certified Athletic Trainer in 2010. She found her passion for physical therapy in 2015 working closely with physical therapists and was encouraged by her mentors to begin her professional journey into the field of physical therapy. She graduated with honors in the Physical Therapist Assistant program at Concorde Career College in 2017 and obtained her Physical Therapist Assistant license shortly after.
Early in her career, she worked in both an aquatic physical therapy setting and orthopedic outpatient setting. Between the two clinics, she worked with a wide spectrum of patients with cardiovascular, pediatric, neurological, and orthopedic conditions. Many patients were seen for subacute care, post-operative care, chronic pain, and sport-related injuries. She prides herself on her ability to work well with each physical therapist. As a team, they work toward reaching their patient’s rehabilitative and functional goals and can use different techniques to achieve positive outcomes.
To better serve her patients and her community, Marion is dedicated to improving and developing her patient skills, knowledge, and therapeutic techniques by keeping up with evidence-based research in both realms of athletic training and physical therapy. She is committed to helping people who love to be active, stay active and return to enjoying life with less fear. Outside of work, Marion loves to cook, bake, and pretend she has green thumb. She also loves to spend her time with her husband and two dogs outdoors visiting national parks, camping, biking, hiking, bodyboarding, swimming, or kayaking.
